Call for Papers: Nuru ya Kiswahili Journal Invites Submissions for June 2025 Issue
The editorial board of Nuru ya Kiswahili, an esteemed international journal published by the University of Dodoma (UDOM), is pleased to announce a call for scholarly articles for Volume 4(1), scheduled for publication in June 2025.
This academic journal is dedicated to publishing high-quality research on Kiswahili linguistics and literature, fostering academic discourse, and contributing to the development of Kiswahili as a global language.
Submission Guidelines for Authors
Researchers, scholars, and academicians are invited to submit their manuscripts in line with the following submission requirements:
- Scope of Papers: The journal accepts articles focusing on Kiswahili linguistics and literature, written in either Kiswahili or English.
- Formatting Requirements:
- Manuscripts must be typed in Microsoft Word.
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12.
- Line spacing: 1.5.
- Length of Articles:
- The manuscript should contain between 4,000 and 7,000 words.
- An abstract of 150–200 words must accompany each submission.
- Citation and Referencing:
- Authors must adhere to the APA (6th edition) citation style.
- First page requirements:
- The first page should include the title, author’s name, institutional affiliation, and email address.
- Footnotes:
- Use footnotes sparingly and only when absolutely necessary.
- Submission Process:

- The final date for submission is April 3, 2025.
