CHENNAI, 4 February 2025 The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has joined forces with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Institute of Logistics to relaunch the widely recognized ‘Supply Chain Management Professional’ (SCMPro) certification program.
This partnership marks a significant step toward revolutionizing supply chain education in India by integrating IIT Madras’ academic excellence with CII’s industry expertise.

The SCMPro certification program has already trained over 40,000 professionals over the past decade. With IIT Madras now contributing cutting-edge academic insights and video lectures from its esteemed faculty, the program is poised to offer an enhanced learning experience.
The revamped curriculum will equip participants with advanced skills, contemporary industry knowledge, and global perspectives necessary to excel in today’s fast-evolving supply chain ecosystem.

- Five learning modules with 30 hours of expert-led video content from IIT Madras faculty
- Comprehensive e-study materials and downloadable transcripts
- Interactive discussion forums for participants to clarify doubts
- Online remote-proctored exams conducted on Sundays
- Joint certification from CII and IIT Madras upon successful completion
To earn the certification, participants must:
- Pass an online exam featuring 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
- Complete the three-hour exam with a minimum score of 70% (140 out of 200)
Additionally, candidates will have access to course materials for one year. IIT Madras will also extend an invitation for them to visit the campus, providing opportunities for hands-on learning and faculty interactions.
