BS Program Eligibility
Applicants must have completed one of the following:
- Class 12 Examination (CBSE, Matriculation, or equivalent state/national boards)
- Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (Form VI) with three principal passes in Natural Sciences
- General Certificate Education (GCE)—Advanced (A) Level
- Cambridge International AS & A Levels
- International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB-DP)
- Any equivalent 10+2 examination recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
- Candidates should have passed their qualifying exams in 2022 or later.
MTech Program Eligibility
MTech in Data Science and AI
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology
- Master’s degree in Science (for candidates with a 3-year UG degree)
- Other equivalent qualifications approved by the IITM Zanzibar Steering Committee
MTech in Ocean Structures
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks

All candidates applying for BS and MTech programs must appear for the IIT Madras Zanzibar Screening Test (IITMZST) 2025.
