With a Ph.D. in Pure Mathematics from Maseno University and a postdoctoral research stint at the University of Stellenbosch (A.I.M.S.), South Africa, Prof. Odour brings over 20 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration.
His research is primarily focused on the Structure Theory of Finite Rings, a critical area in the field of mathematics. Prof. Joyce Jepkorir Kiplimo, appointed as an Associate Professor in Organic Chemistry in the Department of Mathematics, Actuarial, and Physical Sciences at the School of Science and Technology, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to UoK. With 12 years of teaching experience at the university level, she has demonstrated exceptional academic prowess and research excellence.
She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, an MSc in Chemistry from Egerton University, and a Bachelor of Education Science from Egerton University.
Prof. Kiplimo has made significant contributions to the field, publishing 32 peer-reviewed articles and authoring a university-level chemistry textbook.
Her research focuses on the extraction, isolation, and identification of compounds from medicinal plants and endophytes, with notable contributions from the genera Vepris and Vernonia.
In addition to her research, Prof. Kiplimo has supervised nine postgraduate students to completion, with six more ongoing. She currently serves as the Dean of the School of Science and Technology and as the Director of the University of Kabianga Enterprises and Services Limited (UKES). Prof. Williter Chepkemoi Rop, Associate Professor of Human Resource Management
Prof. Williter Chepkemoi Rop has been appointed as an Associate Professor in Human Resource Management at the School of Business and Economics, University of Kabianga.
Holding a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management, Prof. Rop brings over two decades of expertise in academia and leadership, particularly in strategic management and business administration.
Her research interests lie in Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, and Business Management, areas in which she has become a highly respected expert.
